STAY WITH ME (CALLAHAN SERIES 2) by A.C. MARCHMAN

Oh yeah!!!! 5 freakin stars for AC Marchman and another 5 for this 2nd installment of the Callahan Series. AC wrote this story with so much finesse that everything in it fits perfectly in the story. If you love Overwhelm Me then you sure will enjoy and devour Stay With Me in one sitting. Coz I did.

I like that this book starts where we left off in OM. We see Allie & Donovan’s relationship develops into something more and how they got past the whole drama. I’m not much into the whole drama scene of any story or any books out there but drama makes a story more exciting, thrilling and sometimes a bit irritating but what did AC Marchman did in this book is more than the drama you want to read in a book. It fits so perfectly in this story and it made the whole scene more entertaining and interesting. It’s not the kind that you’re head will hurt but the kind that makes you not want to stop reading. The whole thing was awesome!

The relationship that Allie & Donovan is something worth fighting for and something that’s intensely deep. Reading their story is so satisfying. AC did an amazing job writing their story with so much love to feel and give. If you’re a sucker for not so cheesy romantic relationships then you will like what Allie & Donovan have.

The twist before the last part of the book is something I suspected but not thought it would really happen. I want more answers. The connections and all that and why they did what they did. Of course, there’s book 3 and I am so sure it’s going to be action packed. Secrets will be revealed, I guess and something bad will happen to one of our lead characters. I am betting my pretty ass that it’s going to be Allie.

4.5 stars for STAY WITH ME.

Finished #StayWithMe & the series just keeps better & better. Starting #StealingHarper tonight. Yes, tissues are ready in my bed. I jnow this is going to be one emoional read just like Taking Chances. And then a quick, light & sweet read by Piper Shelly, a Grover Beach Team Series1 & 2. LOCKOUT (THE ALPHA GROUP 2) by MAYA CROSS

Maya Cross once again left us with a cliffhanger that made me say, “WHAAAAAAAAT?!” and find myself re-reading the last paragraph of the book. Coz honestly, my brain didn’t grasp what had happened til I read it again. I didn’t saw it coming. Well, maybe I did but I didn’t really thought it would happen til I have read the part where it did. So, BRAVA to you, Maya!!!

The story started where we left off in Locked & this is much more subtle than Locked, in my opinion but it’s so much more and we get to see more of what Sebastian is in this book. Some questions were answered but some were not, and more questions needs to be answered.

Sebastian showed his softer & much deeper side in this 2nd installment of The Alpha Group Trilogy. It was kinda comical to read because he was this dominant and guarded guy we saw in Locked so it’s sweet to see his other side. The 1st part of the story was cool and easy breezy until it was not. Both Sebastian & Sophia struggled with what they were feeling for each other but I think it was Sebastian who struggled more. Now the sex is impeccable but as the story progresses, it was clear that Sophia is feeling more for Sebastian than what she wants to admit and when she finally acknowledged it, she confronted her feelings and so as Sebastian. That part was bittersweet to read and it was obvious that Sebastian was dealing with it in a not so good way. He struggled more because it was new to him, his feelings and all. And with his past, he don’t know how to deal with his feelings. But like I said, that part was bittersweet and I will emphasize the word SWEET. *wink

May I just say how I love how Maya wrote that part? It may seem like your typical BF/GF confrontation/discussion of feelings but it was more than that. Maya shows how different a woman and a man think. Well, at least for me. It was nice to read something that shows how a woman handles things and how a man reacts to things.

The relationship was going well and so as the sexy and hot sex until things turned sour. I want to hate Sophia in that moment but as a woman, I totally get where she’s coming from. She has a right to know and personally, in a relationship both parties SHOULD be honest. Whether it’s their feelings or what they are workin on, because at the end of the day, it will affect the relationship.

I am looking forward for the final installment. I wanna know what will Sebastian do. I wanna see him fight and get mad like a deranged person. Hahaha! I am sucker for a male lead that goes all the way for his girl. Now, I really want a teaser for book 3.

If you have read Locked, you sure will enjoy Lockout. :)

Tornado Strikes Moore, Oklahoma

An EF-4 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma today, causing widespread damage across a 20-mile path throughout the Oklahoma City suburb. The tornado has claimed at least 37 lives with many more injured and has left thousands without power.

Our thoughts go out to those who have been affected, and we hope those in the Oklahoma City area stay safe in the upcoming days. You can find more information on how to help the tornado victims here.
